DeleteThis venue was hired for this occasion, if Christians wanted to celebrate an event then they could easily do the same. Christians make a much bigger fuss over Christmas, why can't Muslims enjoy their Eid without hypocritical racists?

DeleteIt was a fantastic day :-) - please note that people only comment on negative things as they do not have the positivity in life. This has nothing to do with it being racist or not. There are many Christian events that take place, like there are any other events- i didn't see any hell break loose..... so im not sure what you a referring to here. also are you really offended? do you even have religious beliefs of your own? Im sure Christianity does promote anger and hatred against other religions... i don't see why you feel such hatred. It was a private event that was booked PRIVATELY ... oh and it was open to all religions! .... you could have purchased the tickets if you really wanted to.... Islam is welcoming to ALL religions.

Racism is colour, discrimination is a different story, wrre not stopping Christians from coming to chessington world.. if u celebrate eid come along.. its no ones fault but ur own if u dont celebrate it obvs no point going.. ur clearly a troubled ill mannered person.. its true that on xmas day everythings closed because christians celebrate xmas but were happy for you!! We dont complain because were patient and warm hearted ppl.. at work we have xmas day off but struggle to get eid off how do u think we feel? muslims countrys are welcoming to you when u ONLY go for a holiday.. us muslims were born and brought up here and u twats are still not welcoming! As one poster mentioned above, the park is closed on this day normally so we are contributing to the profits of this park for one.
Also its an Eid funday not a muslim funday so it is not aimed at any one group. Why you would want to go there if you don't celebrate eid is a different matter.
When events like Glastonbury take place, you get hardly any muslims attending as it is not our thing. BUT we don't start waving the discrimination flag.
To the person who is moaning about having to sing christmas carols in school and watch christmas adverts when there is nothing on tv or in school about Eid.. i think you might find it is because you live in England?? im pretty sure in muslim countries they celebrate muslin celebrations.. If you dont like it u no were to go :)

Dude why is everyone complaining about the park being open to "muslims only" It's closed on this day anyway so technically it doesn't concern any of you going against this idea.

Asalamu alaikum (peace be with you) to all bloggers I think we all need to look at this in its totally there is no valid reason to instigate hatred for one another the Christian people are also our brothers and sisters our roots in religion are the same. Haters will always hate and try to spread negativity Alhamdulillah (thank you Allah) vast majority of people no matter what race or religion have no issues or qualms about the eid funday and when pathetic people with ridiculous ideologies spread hatred we can see the bigger picture and look beyond it. This is an event for anyone and everyone. Brothers im far from perfect believe me but one bit of advice please reframe from using bad language this is an opportunity for doing Dawah utilise it in a good way. Lastly Im going In Sha Allah with my family and hope and wish everyone the very best of luck.
ReplyDeleteOn Saturday 9th November, Chessington World of Adventures will throw open its gates after being hired out for Eid Funday.
ReplyDeleteThe park season ends on 4th November, but the following Saturday MRDF (Muslim Research and Development Foundation) have hired out the entire park to open for any faith to take part in the Eid celebrations.
Funded mainly by sponsorship, both of the event in general and sponsorship of individual rides, the group are gearing up for a great get together.
No doubt the Sun and other red top papers will pick this up in the coming days and make a huge thing over this, as they did when something similar was planned at Alton Towers, but here are the facts.
The park is closed, this event is after the park has finished its main season, so guests wouldn’t be able to get into the park anyway
The event is not a ‘Muslim’ only event, any faith is welcome to attend
There is nothing illegal or imoral or anything else going off here, the park is always open to hire and close to the general public at a price
The park itself is not organising this, only providing the park and ride staff etc for people who have paid to be there
To various people complaining on Facebook already, Chessington have posted the following statement:
“Chessington is closed to the public from the 4th November until our “Festive Zoo Days” start on the 7th December. This is one of many private hire events held in our “close season” at the park and we do not discriminate against any religions or faiths.
The event is being hosted by the MRDF but is open to all faiths. All tickets for the event day are to be pre-booked through the MRDF.”
I don't understand how this is seen as racist? I am a 13 year old girl and even I know the meaning of the word, and as it has been stated above, anyone can hire the park for their own uses. Also, the park is closed to public after November 4th...

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Muslims should be allowed to pray 5times a day in the UK...because first of all, their is no such thing as OUR country. Of course, the UK is predominantly a Christian country, but as someone else has said, a Muslim organisation should be allowed to hire out a theme park., just Christians should if they wanted to. As for your statement about Christmas being about getting drunk n causing a nuisance in city centres...that is disgusting! Christmas for me is when I can go home to spend time with family and friends, just like your Eid. And it is not a sad 'FACT' that ONLY OAPs go to Church...you need to get your facts right, as now you have become just as bad as the ignorant non-muslim at the top of this thread!
